Shul (Synagogue)
Concept
Since the early stages of Machon L'Torah's formation, the need for a special warm and informal place of prayer was clearly felt. In the fall of 1980, Congregation Machon L'Torah was established to fill that need.
How is this congregation unique?
- There is no need to join. In fact, there is no formal membership so that no one who is financially unable to afford membership would feel uncomfortable.
- A welcoming environment. Everyone who attends the congregation for any service is warmly welcomed and made comfortable.
- Anyone who wishes to experience a traditional prayer service for the first time or one who had experiences before, but who is not confident with his prayer skills, will be assisted by one of the congregants.
- Learning sessions are available during the weekend on various topics and levels suited for the beginner, as well as an intermediate or advanced level of learning.
- There is no need to join. In fact, there is no formal membership so that no one who is financially unable to afford membership would feel uncomfortable.
